Fountain Valley (Thanh Huy)- – Vietnamese Spiritual Health Association – American Orange District Organizes Walking Day for Joy, Health and for a Charity.
The walk was held at 7am on Sunday November 14, 2021 at Mile Square Park, with the presence of: Mrs. Cherry of the Mental Health Association, Mr. Joseph Thai, one of the founding members of the association, present in charge of media, journalism, promotion of news about congregational activities and some volunteer members of the congregational. Thanh Tam Nguyen (Cal Optima) is very popular to represent charitable organizations, commercial institutions, some media agencies, press. On this occasion, Mrs. Anh Dao said, Orange District Mental Health Support Conference is a non-profit Association founded in 2007 through the law of the Department of Mental Health. Our main network mission is to support families with mentally ill relatives through educational methods and living in patients’ families. Don’t neglect, mental illness is a normal treatment disease like other diseases. All donations are tax exempt.

Contact with Mr. Joseph Thai Nguyen is the one who has been associated with the group from the early days, saying: “The Vietnamese community in Orange District has many people with mental illness, and they, as well as their family, have a lot of difficulties in life, because so there must be a psychiatrist, family support and medicine to cure, and the Association has applied those three standards so there have been many successful cases, there have been grandchildren to go back to school in the Middle School and University, two have become doctors and many are college students. Through those results we try to overcome all difficulties to help patients and their families return to normal life soon. We hope families with sick people don’t hesitate, don’t neglect to call us, and we hope our fellow countrymen support through annual walks or fundraising sessions of the Association.
Therefore, our Association’s mission is to nurture love and support sick Vietnamese by providing live guidance services to the patient’s family and friends. Organizing walks like this is also an opportunity for people to share knowledge about mental illness, eliminating stigma that causes self-esteem.
